Artist Statement:
From the world inside to the world outside.
From the world outside to the world inside.
Two worlds are also one world; the darkness inside us finds the shining light.
The world inside is like the fullness and calmness of abundant water; like a cloud that is strong, brawny.
Through the filter of me rises a landscape.
All is Vanity, and all events of the world end in nothing after time passes.
The landscape was painted in watercolor through instinct, and the image was also constructed theoretically and objectively with a pencil-drawing. This pair of art pieces that are drawn with contrasting methodologies symbolizes our world of oneness.
I believe the strength is in the sensitivity
And moreover, having seen or heard that precious lives are lost continuously, from the past to the present, in this wonderful earth, I would like to dedicate this art piece to the lost precious lives by infusing it with the meaning of flowing candles for posthumous souls (the Toronagashi ceremony), remembering dead people, releasing their sorrow, and returning to nature.

内なる世界から外の世界へ
外の世界から内なる世界へ
二つの世界はまた一つの世界であり、私たちの内なる闇は、輝きのある光を見出す。
内なる世界は、豊潤な水の豊かさ穏やかさのように、内なる世界は強くたくましく燃え上がる雲のように。
その風景を私というフィルターを通して浮かび上がらせた。
色即是空 空即是色 そして世界の事象全ては時を経て無に帰する。
水彩では直感によって描かれ、鉛筆ドローイングでは理論的かつ客観的にイメージを構築した。
この対照的な方法論で描かれた対をなす作品群は、けれど、一つの私たちの世界を象徴している。
繊細さの中の強さを信じて。
そしてまた、私たちの住んでいるこの素晴らしい地球の中で過去も現在も尊い命が失われてゆく様を目にし、耳にしたとき、その死後の魂に向けた灯籠流しのような、死者を思い出し、その無念を解き放ち、自然に帰してゆく意味も込め、この作品を喪われてしまった尊い命たちに捧げたい。
